Combine Resources for an Out-of-this-World Astronomy Unit
Pairing resources that take very different approaches to sharing similar information can be a very effective teaching tactic. For example, you might pair the titles in the Our Universe series of books for beginning readers—which includes The Solar System, The Night Sky, Earth, Mars, and Moon—with my lyrical picture book The Stuff of Stars—and the resources found at NASA’s Space Place website. Together, they’ll make for a great STEM unit on space for early readers.
