Giving Kids a “Wild-Eyed” View of Their World

The Smithsonian’s National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute offers “Educational Activities You Can Do at Home.” This wide assortment provides great options to engage young readers in the natural world. You might also consider pairing some of the activities with my wildlife picture books, a series of four titles illustrated with stunning photographs by renowned naturalist Stan Tekiela. The series includes Jump, Little Wood Ducks; The Cutest Critter; Baby Bear Discovers the World, and Some Babies Are Wild.
