Happy New Year!

One of the things I’m most excited about in 2026 is my forthcoming picture book Our Home, Our Only Home. Illustrated by Sophie Diao, the title comes out March 24. An early review from Kirkus said in part: “Writing in lyrical free verse, Bauer argues that as latecomers to Earth, we’ve had an outsize impact on its health, which is vividly portrayed in Diao’s illustrations.… A necessary and optimistic call to action.”
