Natural disasters of many kinds have made it a tough year for many communities. Families and classrooms that are looking for resources to help young readers cope with these events may want to start with the Ready Kids website. Also, for new readers, my Ready-to-Read “Natural Disasters” series provides basic facts about topics such as: Hurricane!, Wildfire!, Flood!, Earthquake!, and Volcano!. On January 12, Tornado! will join the line-up.
