It’s always a thrill to find one of my titles on a state award list, to know that young readers themselves will be diving in to read and evaluate the title in question! For 2023-2024, my novel Sunshine is on the list for the Charlie May Simon Book Award (Arkansas) and the Iowa Children’s Choice Award. If you know of other states where the book has been nominated, I’d love to know—please leave me a note in the comments section below.
