Need a Good Writing Tip?
Do you know someone who loves to write? If so, check out the series of free Writing Tips on my website. One of them, called “Description,” says the following: “It’s one of the most important parts of good writing, to be able to describe something in a way that lets your readers see, hear, taste, smell and feel it.” And here’s an example of how I used feel/touch descriptions in my novel Shelter from the Wind: “Stacy slammed the door behind her. The June heat rose in her face, along with the Oklahoma dust. She rubbed the grit from her eyes angrily and rammed her cowboy hat down on her head so the wind couldn’t catch it.”
